Ode to Domino Mag

My heart weeps for the loss of Domino Magazine. There are some terrific online magazines right now, which are either devoted to or touch upon home decor, such as Lonny, Prairie Hive, Matchbook, Ivy & Piper, Adore Home, Rue Magazine, Covet Garden, etc… But none of them can replace my beloved Domino. And this is why I was so freakin’ excited to come across this Flickr page – The Domino Magazine Files. It contains over 500 photos from Domino’s roughly four years of publication. Oh. Yes. Please.

Bizarrely, Brides.com has select Domino features available on its website. But as far as I’m concerned, they have dropped the ball big time. For supposedly being granted access to all of the stories from the late, great Domino magazine,”* their selection is quite paltry.

I’m not even sure I can muster up sufficient excitement at the news that Domino will be reborn in newsstands-only form since it won’t be a monthly magazine. But you can be sure I’ll be at Barnes & Noble looking for my issue on April 17th.
