MY GOAL HAS BEEN REACHED! (Yes, I do think all-caps, bold and underlining were warranted. Hey, I could have used italics too.) Only 8 months & 1 week after giving birth and 5 months & 3 weeks after embarking on my mission to drop whatever was left of the baby weight and then some, I have reached and passed my goal of 148.0 pounds. When I weighed in on January 1st at 174.0, I set up my program with the (somewhat ambitious) goal of losing 26 pounds in 5 months. And I only missed the mark by 3 weeks. Well done, me.
Look how many more daily calories I’m allowed in order to maintain, as opposed to lose, weight! Almost 2,100. Visions of cupcakes, french fries, candy dance in my head. Alas, my gallstones keep me from partaking of the orgy of sweets and fried foods I’d like to consume today. Where would I start? With a Good Stuff toasted marshmallow milkshake, of course. Soon, soon, my sweet.
